AhlulBayt News Agency: Yemen’s Armed Forces have carried out a hypersonic ballistic missile attack on Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, citing retaliation for Israel’s recent airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs.
Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni army, announced that the operation involved a Palestine 2 hypersonic missile aimed at Lod Airport in occupied Yaffa. According to Saree, the strike was a show of solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza and a direct response to Israel’s assault on Lebanon.
“Our missile force successfully hit its target, forcing millions of Zionist occupiers into shelters and disrupting air traffic at the airport,” Saree stated, as reported by Press TV.
The statement further underscored Yemen’s unwavering support for Palestinian resistance fighters, declaring that the armed forces will continue their operations until the Israeli aggression ceases and the siege on Gaza is lifted.
Thursday’s missile strike marks the first publicly acknowledged Yemeni military action against Israeli-occupied territories in direct retaliation for Israel’s attacks in Lebanon.
Earlier, Israeli warplanes launched eight airstrikes on residential buildings in Beirut’s southern suburb. Israeli Channel 14 reported that the assault was conducted in coordination with the United States, further escalating tensions in the region.
